Flowers

This past weekend I was able to meet some special "flowers", Iris and Dahlila. They are sisters and are so sweet. I met Iris at a charity event I was doing for the San Antonio Arthritis Foundation, she was busy blowing up balloons and I was busy taking pictures of her and her UTSA university organization who was also volunteering. Her sister is a high school senior in a town kinda far away, and to my advantage was searching for a photographer for her senior portraits. It was my advantage because she was so dang sweeeeeettttt! I am so lucky to come across such wonderful clients, truly blessed am I!! All of my clients are sooooo very cute, and like Dahlila, gorgeous, great personality, and it makes the event loads of fun. Dahlila let me take shots however and where ever I wanted. She allowed me to be an artist with her as my canvas. Here is a few from that morning at the San Antonio Botanical Garden. Little Lady Bug

I can't believe it, it has already been a year, maybe close to three that her mommy first told me about her. We were not sure how beautiful her eyes would be or how velvet- like her hair would be, but we knew she would be just perfect. And, that is exactly what she is. I recently had the pleasure of photographing little Lili. I was able to catch her being her sweet little self and showing off her sweet personality plus the sunglasses (check out the website). Now come on, what little kid likes sunglasses. They are way to cute, but kids just don't like um. Not little Lili, she is a diva in the making. You go girl. I can't wait till we have a play date and take some more pictures, steal a hug or two, and capture some memories. Oh, and by the way Lili, you have yourself one special mommy!

Through A Child's Eyes we Can See What is Important

Have you ever taken the time to study a child's eyes? Some say the eyes are the pathway to the soul. I believe it. When I look into a child's eyes all that is important is mommy, daddy, food, maybe a doggie or kitty, and having fun. the whole perspective on what love really is and what is really important, fills their entire little being. Why is it that when we get older our eyes turn a little darker and a little heavier? Maybe we stop seeing the "important things in life". Let you soul shine.

Children's Day in the Garden

Wow! Talk about some cutie-patooties! I had the best time volunteering at Antique Rose to capture some of the children's expressions as the surveyed the beautiful grounds. The children were all so very sweet and loved every activity that the Bexar County Master Gardeners had for them. Each year, well for the past 4, we have always taken Alyssa to the Antique Rose Emporium the weekend of Mommy's Day. She is a nature girl and really gets into digging in the dirt, hot gluing seed packages to woodwork, and answering secret questions about flowers. This year I felt the urge to give back a little enjoyment and captured a few images of some really cute kids. Their parents will soon be getting the free images as soon as I sort and edit through the hundreds....yep...you read that right....HUNDREDS! I just could not stop because every single kid I took a picture of was so stinkin' cute!

By the way, my entire yard is filled with flora from Antique Rose. The stuff just gets better and better every single year, keeps coming back, and the rose bushes get bigger and bigger! If you have never been, take a trip, buy a few plants, and enjoy the beauty!

Wow, my website is launched and I have so much to add to it as I grow my business. The good Lord has blessed me with such a grand start. Since I launched my business, I have been booked every weekend for an event. The clients I have are so wonderful. In fact, I would call them my friends. I would love to hear your feedback on the website. Thanks for inspiring me to do more.

That's What A Friend Is

My whole life has changed since my friend Kelly inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and enter the professional photographer realm. I could never thank her enough. For a whole year she was my biggest cheerleader and kept dropping comments for me to start marketing my skill. Heck, she even asked me to be the photographer for her wedding (I chickened out and was terrified to ruin her special day, sorry Kelly). She believed in me that much! Now I just can't take enough pictures and have a kazillion photoshoots with her new little munchkin. Now, that is what friends are for....inspiring you to always do better and reach beyond where we thought we could go.

The Secret Workshop

I was able to spend the last few days with a fantabulous photographer Cheryl Muhr at The Secret Workshop. She literally has a joy for life and even has it as part of her business policy! We had a day of shooting some kiddos in an urban shoot in downtown Austin, TX. It was a blast. Here is a little girl who was have a great time! You can't tell from this image, but there was about 20 of use shooting this little girl. Kinda paparazzi style! Way to much fun!
